Our SEO Process
Step 1: Competitor & Keyword Research
We analyze your competitors and industry keywords to determine what queries people are searching. Then we categorize these keywords by buyer intent.
Step 2: Content Audit & Keyword Match
Next, we analyze all of the content that you have available across web pages, blog posts, images, video, podcasts, ebooks, and more. Then we match up 2 to 3 keyword themes per page. Feels a little like being a matchmaker, right?
Step 3: Development & Structure
Then, we develop a list of content to be created, which may include building new web pages, blog posts, PDFs, images, and videos. Content can then be structured in pillar+cluster formats, which help both users and search engines understand your content even better.
Step 4: Optimize Content for Google
We make technical SEO changes to un-seen things like page titles, meta descriptions, and image ALT text. We also make on-page SEO changes to visible things, such as article titles, headings, body content, and URLs. We’ll also get a little geeky and add things like schema mark-up, internal linking, and XML sitemaps.
Step 5: Optimize Content for Users
It is even more critical that we optimize your site for your users. We’ll look at user experience and interaction data and apply best practices on layout and calls to action (CTAs). Our goal is to keep users engaged on your site and have them reach out to you via an online form.
Step 6: External Links
Last, we work to improve your external link profile through strategic links, content, and mentions from a variety of reputable sources based on your industry. Much of this off-page SEO can (and should) happen organically, but we’ll make suggestions where we see opportunities.
